I thank Tom Conroy for clearly identifying his current thinking, and giving me no choice than to support my current state representative Susan Pope.

Tom posits that the courts have the right to redefine words like marriage, which until a few short years ago, every society believed that there could only be marriage between those of different sex. He states that he will "oppose putting this question on the ballot" which will deny the thousands of us who signed a petition requesting it be on the ballot for our vote.

He likens this to interracial marriage, in an attempt to justify his claim that we are "encouraging bigotry and small-mindedness." Interracial couples can produce children and fit the traditional definition of marriage held by society for thousands of years, so his argument is misleading at best.
